Company History

Cherryworks, Ltd. is a family owned and operated business specializing in quality custom design and fabrication of residential and commercial fixtures and furnishings.

The company was started in 1974 in a spare bedroom of the home of John and Patricia Cherry on Seaford Avenue. When the business took-off it was moved to a small garage area built specifically for that purpose. The Cherry family moved to Glen Arm, MD in 1982 where the basement became the new workshop.  It didn't take long for the business to outgrow the home so the property at 12609 Harford Rd was purchased . This building originally was designed to house a showroom, offices and the fabrication shop.

When the property next door became available, Cherryworks was excited to expand and it now contains a deceptively large showroom and the offices. This allowed us to use the entire previous property as our fabrication plant and gave us increased production capacity.

John has since retired and passed Cherryworks on to the next generation of Cherry's, his eldest daughter, Angela Cherry Courtalis. Angela continues to maintain the same commitment to integrity and craftsmanship begun all those years ago while moving the company forward into the future!

With over 40 years in the industry and many satisfied clients, Cherryworks has been nominated as one of the "Top 10 Cabinet Shops in North America" by Cabinet Maker Magazine.
